Smith Cemetery

This cemetery is located on a small dirt path behind a radio tower in the Fullerton training area. It is situated on the west side of Smith Villa Road. Smith Cemetery is located down the tower road on the edge of the visible wood line to the west. George Washington and Martha F. Smith are buried there. Until recently, little was known about this husband and wife except their names. By a quirk of fate, recent staff conversations with a hunter about deer turned into a conversation about Heritage Day. This person’s wife was a direct descendant of the Smiths, and provided the Heritage Team with a photograph of the couple from around 1880.
